These terms govern your use of Sophia.law. By creating an account or using our services, you agree to these terms. If you're using Sophia on behalf of an organization, you confirm you have authority to bind that organization.
Sophia is an AI-powered tool that helps legal professionals research EU regulations, draft compliance documents, and streamline advisory work. Sophia provides information and generates drafts based on your inputs.
Sophia is a tool, not a lawyer. Outputs are informational drafts that require professional review. You remain responsible for verifying accuracy, exercising professional judgment, and ensuring outputs are appropriate for your specific client matters.
Sophia may produce incorrect, incomplete, or outdated information. Always verify against authoritative sources before relying on any output.
You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant us a limited license to process your content solely to provide the service. We do not use your client data to train our AI models.
You are responsible for ensuring you have appropriate rights and consents to submit any data, including client information, to Sophia.
We treat your queries and generated documents as confidential. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data. See our Privacy Policy for details on data handling.
Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in advance. Prices are in EUR and exclude applicable VAT. You can cancel anytime; access continues until the end of your billing period. We don't offer refunds for partial periods.
We may change pricing with 30 days notice. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance.
We aim for high availability but don't guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, update features, or modify the service at any time. We'll provide reasonable notice for significant changes.
Sophia, including its software, design, and branding, is our property. You get a limited, non-exclusive license to use the service during your subscription.
Documents you generate using Sophia are yours to use. However, templates, regulatory text, and other reference materials remain subject to their original rights holders.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sophia.law is provided "as is". We disclaim all warranties, express or implied. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
Our total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim. This limitation does not apply where prohibited by law.
You can close your account anytime. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these terms, non-payment, or if required by law. Upon termination, your right to use the service ends. You can export your data before closing your account.
These terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and applicable member state law. Any disputes will be resolved in accordance with applicable jurisdiction rules.
We may update these terms and will notify you of material changes. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. If you disagree with changes, you may close your account.
